September 2022 Top Ten
1.
I listened to this interview of Shia LaBeouf talking about his conversion to Catholicism. It’s sparked some good conversations with my friends.
2.
I read The Hurting Kind, a book of poetry by the new United States Poet Laureate Ada Limón and enjoyed it.
3.
I listened through Marcus Mumfords solo album (self-titled) a few times, but couldn’t really connect to any of the songs. I’ll give it another try.
4.
I watched a lot of baseball. It was great. Go Mariners.
5.
I’m considering doing an MFA in Creative Writing with a poetry emphasis, so I watched this informational session about a new program at the University of St. Thomas.
6.
I’m still listening to the instrumental album “Out Walking” by Abby Gundersen. It seems like it was made to be listened to in the fall.
7.
I read Fool Moon by Jim Butcher. I enjoyed it, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to continue with the series. It might be a little too dark for me. My full review.
8.
I’m mentioned this before, but I’m convinced that this is the greatest song of all time. I’ve been singing it to my kids before bed, in the car, wherever. It’s the best.
9.
I also played this video in the background while working. It’s a great “cold fall morning” backtrack.
10.
This episode of the Nateland Podcast with Greg Garcia was a lot of fun.
