October 2021 TOP TEN

1.

I read the book How to Make a Living with Your Writing by Joanna Penn and it was the spark I needed to take this author stuff more seriously. Stay tuned.

2.

As soon as I finished that book, I read another book by Joanna Penn called How to Market a Book, and it was also great.

3.

Played through the third installation of Lifeline, a text based choose your own adventure game on iPhone (and other things). Really fun stuff.

4.

Listened through Shad’s new album TAO. He such a great lyricist. Listen to the song TAO Pt 3.

5.

We read The Midnight Library for book club and I liked it more than I thought I would after reading the first fifty pages or so. My full review.

6.

A Church Called Tov has been on my reading list for awhile, and I finally got around to it. It’s a great vision of what a healthy church can look like. My review.

7.

This video of professional violinists reacting to a 2 year old violin prodigy will make you smile.

8.

I watched part of this video of Astronaut Chris Hadfield answering the web's most searched questions. He seems like a cool guy.

9.

I read Encouragement for the Depressed, which is just a short book containing two Charles H. Spurgeon sermons. It was great. There are some great one liners in there, which I’ve included in my full review.

10.

I listened to the Avett Brothers song “The Fire” and it made me a little emotional. Listen to it next to a window.
