December 2024 Top Ten

1.

I reread The Genesee Diary by Henri Nouwen. This is probably my third or fourth time through. It’s one of my top ten non-fiction books of all time.

2.

My kids loved this video about the world’s smartest crow.

3.

I read In the Lord I Take Refuge: 150 Daily Devotions Through the Psalms by Dane Ortlund and enjoyed it.

4.

My team at work finished a book called Team: Getting Things Done with Others and there was some helpful stuff in there.

5.

We listened to the cassette of this Alvin and the Chipmunk’s Christmas album a ton over the holidays.

6.

We watched the newest animated Grinch, and the kids loved it. I’d never seen it before and enjoyed it, too.

7.

I’m about halfway through Zelda: A Link to the Past and am really enjoying it.

8.

Nate Bargatze released a Christmas variety show, Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas, and a new hour special, Your Friend, Nate Bargatze, and they were both great.

9.

I read a post from my friend and he mentioned the song “Kell ott fenn egy orszag” by a Serbian-Hungarian singer and composer, Zoran, and I’ve been listening to it a lot lately. It’s pretty wild how the passion and beauty translates, even though I don’t speak the language. Good stuff.

10.

We also listened to this Barbara Streisand Christmas cassette, and the first song goes crazy.
