March 2023 Top Ten

1.

I finished the book Untangling Emotions and loved it. It’s super practical and relatable. I’ve referenced it in conversations with my friends and family multiple times already. Highly recommend.

2.

One of my kids’ favorite rappers (who am I kidding, mine too) released a new song. It “slaps,” as they say.

3.

I read this article about a duck giving a man hope, and ultimately saving his life. It’s wild and quirky and heartwarming. Thinking about writing a novel about it.

4.

I reread the book Live No Lies by John Mark Comer. It’s a great pep talk for followers of Jesus in the post-modern world. Loved it again.

5.

My friend sent me this Combat Juggling video. Yes, you read that right.

6.

I read the poetry book The Man at Home by Michael Heffernan. I thought it was fine, but that’s probably because I didn’t give it the attention it deserved.

7.

I also read the small book Fighting for Holiness by J.C. Ryle and really enjoyed it. Very challenging.

8.

Last year I made a playlist to celebrate Eastertide. We’ve been playing it around the house since Easter. Hit shuffle and enjoy!

9.

We read The Mind of the Maker by Dorothy Sayers for book club in March, and I just finished it last month. It’s good, but super dense.

10.

I listened to this bit by stand up comedian Aaron Weber and loved it.
