I wrote a novel last month.
EDIT 10/14/2017: "The Rose Weapon" is Available Now on Amazon!
Well, it's technically considered a novella. It's a little over 30,000 words. And it is only the first draft. But still, I'm pretty excited about it. I've already thought about how I can add to it to make it better. Including adding an entirely new character.
So, what's it called?
Not sure yet. I've unofficially decided on "The Rose Weapon" but I'm not sure if it's a good fit for this type of story.
Can you tell us anything about it?
I don't want to give away too much yet. I'll be sending out updates (excerpts, cover designs, release date) as we get close. If you want to be the first to get these updates, sign up below.
But, I can say it is a story about vikings and fathers and sons and pride and honor and choices and faith and legends and bravery and a dragon.
What's the next step?
I'm going to put the draft away for about a month before I start the editing process. This way I'll be able to return to it with fresh eyes. Since this is my first time, I have no idea how long it will take to edit. I plan to have book one out by late Spring.
Wait, did you say book one?
I sure did! I've already got an idea for the sequel. I think it will probably stop there, but who knows!
